THE HARASSED AND HELPLESS IN NORTH GEORGIA
EVERY SOUL IS PRECIOUS TO HIM!
“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field’” (Mt. 9:36–38).
Please pray for workers and for the workers’ hearts, feet and voices to go forth without fear, empowered by the Holy Spirit, proclaiming the love of God and salvation through Jesus Christ. Let’s introduce them to the true Good Shepherd.

FAITH IN ACTION: A VIDEO WORTH PASSING ON
Some of our brothers at Grace Chapel have been sharing the video from our GC Men’s Breakfast on September 13, featuring John Wood’s incredible talk: A Terminal Diagnosis Is Not the End. Eighty-five men were present for the breakfast, and you could’ve heard a pin drop as John shared his story. It was raw, moving, and full of hope. Thanks to John, and to our Men of Grace ministry for sponsoring this event.
The full video (about an hour long) is up on our website and GC YouTube Channel—links below. Feel free to pass it along to a friend or neighbor, and pray that it sparks conversation that brings you closer to them…and to Him!

MEDICAL
John Wood: Continues his chemo treatments for pancreatic cancer and is doing much better. He has gained back some weight and is actively walking each day (about three miles every morning). He still deals with periodic weakness and nausea after treatments but is able to eat. Please pray for strength for John, full remission of the cancer, and complete healing. Pray also for Alicia and their entire sweet family.
Jane and Doug Gilliard: Both are dealing with ongoing medical situations. Doug was released from Cumming Health and Rehab on September 13 and is recovering very well from an extensive surgery to mend his hip. However, a day or so before Doug was released, Jane had a fall and broke her right elbow and wrist. Our brother and sister are both “down,” but not out. Family members have stepped up to meet their daily needs and trips to doctors, as neither are able to drive. See their thank you note and prayer request below:
“Dear church family,
We are counting our many blessings these days, and you all are on the top of our list. What an awesome blessing you have been and are to us. We can never thank you enough for all you have done, from calls, visits, sitting with us at the hospital, texts, cards, gift cards for food, and just knowing you are praying for us during this difficult season in our journey. Please continue to pray we will get to the other side and be able to be back at church worshiping our Lord together.
Love in Him, Doug and Jane”
Susan Boling: Susan’s recent bout of flu was short-term, and she is regaining her strength. Her back and hip pain seem to be improving, and she continues her daily antibiotic infusions at her doctor’s office for an aortic heart valve infection. Thankfully, her family is taking excellent care of her, including her brother, who has moved into the room/apartment that she normally rents out. Please continue to keep Susan in your prayers for a full recovery, complete healing and relief from pain, and be with all those ministering to her, including the saints at Grace Chapel.
Bo Edwards’ sister, Calli: Continues to deal with mental health issues. Please pray for Calli and her family in these ongoing struggles, that the issues will be resolved, and the household will have peace. Please pray also for Bo as he is ministering to them.

OUR SICK AND SAINTS AT HOME
A big “thank you” to so many who are reaching out as the Spirit prompts you to our dear brothers and sisters who are experiencing trials and tribulations, both medically and spiritually. Cards, phone calls, and visits are so appreciated. Please remember in your prayers the following GC members who have ongoing health issues and are generally unable to attend worship services:
Esther and Russ Johnson: Pray for Esther’s ongoing struggles with Parkinson’s and digestion issues, and for her husband, Russ, as her caregiver.
Bert and Joyce Blackwell: Pray for Bert’s declining health, and for Joyce as his caregiver. Please give Joyce a call of encouragement.
David and Carolyn Wheeler: David cannot be around large crowds due to his weak immune system. However, he and Carolyn are happy to have calls or visits.
