Prayer is one of the most formative practices a disciple of Jesus can do. The ability to talk intimately with the Creator of the universe is a magnificent mystery. If we're honest, praying can feel mechanical at times, frustrating at others, and occasionally pointless. Yet, this practice apparently was a central habit for not only the earliest followers of Jesus, but also for Jesus Himself. As we long to be with Jesus, to become more like Him, and to do what He did, this series is focusing on “The Lord’s Prayer,” to help us learn and experience how to pray like Jesus.

From July 13–19, several of our high school students will be going on a mission trip to Fort Pierce, Florida. They will partner with local churches and nonprofits in Fort Pierce, with a focus on helping children and families in under-resourced areas. Our teens will also help conduct a vacation Bible school for these children, in conjunction with Southside Christian Church in Fort Pierce. We are so excited that these students will have the opportunity to show the love of Jesus to everyone in the Fort Pierce community!
