DUE TO WINTER WEATHER, OUR JANUARY 25 SERVICES HAVE BEEN CANCELED

Prayer Requests • 10/25/2026

MEDICAL

Phyllis Kempthorne: Phyllis has been home since October 8 and continues to slowly regain her strength. She spent six nights in the hospital with Influenza A, which caused her electrolyte levels to drop dangerously low. Please pray for her continued recovery, renewed strength, and full return to health. Also remember Jim as he faithfully cares for her.

Macey Chupp – A Note from Parents Maren and Jeremy: Thank you all for praying for our family; we humbly ask that you continue to pray for Macey. Following a knee injury and surgery, Macey, a varsity volleyball player, began experiencing increasingly scary symptoms over the summer. After many tests, we have a diagnosis: Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) with psychogenic non-epileptic seizures.

On October 19, Macey began a 10-day intensive program at a functional neurology center (in Cumming – praise God!), to be followed by six months of brain rehabilitation. Everything is going well and her doctor is optimistic that this treatment will help.

Please pray with us for complete healing from her daily seizures, tremors, and other symptoms; for Macey to fully return to the active life she loves; and for peace, strength, and perspective, that whatever her road looks like, we would draw closer to Him. We continue to see God’s goodness every day, especially through all of you. Thank you for interceding on our behalf. We love you!

Kathy Brooks – Under Hospice Care at Home: Kathy is at home under hospice care, having decided to forgo further treatment. Kathy and Ed are grateful for their wonderful hospice team and for the love shown through visits and calls. Please pray for these beloved saints and their family, asking God to surround them with His peace, comfort, strength, and grace.

Ashley Wyatt: Praise the Lord! Ashley completed her radiation treatments this week. Ashley and Rocky are deeply grateful for the prayers, encouragement, and support they have received from their Grace Chapel family. Please continue praying for complete healing and that there will be no evidence of cancer when Ashley returns for follow-up scans in February.

Grace Brown: A recent CT scan showed good results, with no growth in Grace’s existing lung tumor and no new growth. She has completed radiation and resumed immunotherapy, and after a month of weekly injections, is back to one injection per month. Please pray for her continued healing, for manageable side effects, and for peace and strength for Grace and her family. Grace and Tom are thankful to God and to everyone who continues to pray for her.

Verna Enfinger: Beginning November 4, Margaret Krams will spend a couple of weeks in Florida helping care for her 92-year-old mother, Verna, and giving her sisters a much-needed caregiving break. Please remember Verna as she continues physical therapy, and remember Margaret and her sisters as they faithfully care for and support her.

John Mowry: John, Luanne Stephens’s 79-year-old brother in Missouri, has been experiencing kidney problems, and it was feared he might need dialysis. Praise God, he has improved, and dialysis is no longer being considered. Please pray for John’s full recovery, and for his family and Luanne as they lovingly support him.

Kathy Bain: Jane Gilliard’s sister, Kathy, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has begun chemotherapy. Kathy and her husband, Dewey, are former members of Grace Chapel. Please pray for strength, comfort, peace, successful treatment, and complete healing, and for encouragement for Dewey and their family.

Bradley Eidex: Bradley, a recent college graduate and dear family friend of Jeff and Melissa Baillairge, was diagnosed with cancer after tests revealed several malignant tumors. He began chemotherapy on Monday, October 12. This week, he also tested positive for COVID. Please pray for a quick recovery from COVID, for effective cancer treatment with minimal side effects, and for his complete healing. Please also remember his family, especially his father, who is taking time away from work to be with Bradley during his treatment.

CONTINUE TO REMEMBER

Virginia Ann Edwards: Bo Edwards’ 92-year-old mother, who lives alone, as the family considers her future living arrangements.

Bo Edwards’ sister, Calli: Please pray for Calli’s mental healing and emotional well-being, and for peace, strength, and encouragement for her immediate family.

OUR SICK AND SAINTS AT HOME

Please remember in your prayers the following GC members who have ongoing health issues and are generally unable to be with us:

David and Carolyn Wheeler: David is battling cancer in both kidneys as well as prostate cancer. His pain is well controlled with minimal medication, and David and Carolyn continue to have wonderful, inspiring attitudes. They welcome cards and calls.

Esther and Russ Johnson: Esther has resumed weekly outpatient physical therapy. Please pray for renewed strength, improved breathing, and a better quality of life as she manages Parkinson’s disease, and for Russ, who faithfully cares for her each day.

Wayne and Faye Tincher: The Tinchers, both in their early 90s, have been GC members since moving to Cumming three years ago. Due to health and mobility challenges, neither can drive. Please continue to pray for them.
