IN MEMORIAM
Camie Pew: It is with sadness that we share that Camie Pew, daughter-in-law of Mark and Patti Pew and niece of our own Cathy Burch, passed away peacefully at home earlier this week, surrounded by her family. Camie and her husband, Nathan, reside in Dacula, Georgia.
Please keep Nathan, their two young daughters, and the entire family in your prayers during this difficult time. As they grieve this tremendous loss, may they find comfort, peace, and strength in the love and promises of our Lord.
We will share funeral arrangements as soon as received. You may read Camie’s obituary at stewartfh.com/obituaries/cameron-pew.

MEDICAL
Kathy Brooks - Transitioning to Hospice Care: As many of you know, Kathy was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and began treatment on May 18. Kathy’s husband, Ed, shared on Saturday that Kathy has decided to discontinue further treatment and return home. They are now transitioning to hospice care.
Throughout this health journey—as throughout their faithful Christian lives—Kathy and Ed have continually prayed that God’s will be done and that they would be blessed with peace, strength, and encouragement.
Let us join these beloved saints in that same prayer. May the Lord surround Kathy and Ed with His love, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.
John Wood: John and Alicia remain in New York City and expect to be there through at least June 23.
John’s pancreatic cancer trial medication has yielded some remarkable results. The cancer in his pancreas has shrunk by approximately 60 percent, and the cancer in his liver has been completely eliminated. They are deeply grateful for this progress and for God’s blessings throughout the trial.
While the treatment has been highly effective in those areas, the cancer has unfortunately progressed in the lining of John’s abdomen. This has caused a buildup of fluid that must be drained periodically and has become a significant source of discomfort. On Wednesday, doctors placed a permanent drain, allowing John to manage the fluid at home and, prayerfully, experience greater comfort.
Because of this new development, John will be leaving the clinical trial and transitioning to a new treatment plan. Upon returning to Atlanta, he will begin a new course of chemotherapy treatments at Emory.
The frequent travel between Atlanta and New York has been physically exhausting. While this is not the outcome they had hoped for, John and Alicia are thankful that this next phase of treatment will take place closer to home. Please continue praying for strength, comfort, and peace for John and Alicia. Pray also for wisdom for his medical team and that this new treatment plan will be effective.
Grace Brown: Grace continues undergoing immunotherapy for lung cancer through daily medication and monthly injections. Recent scans show that all tumors are continuing to shrink and that inflammation is steadily decreasing—praise God for this encouraging progress! Please continue praying for Grace’s healing, manageable treatment side effects, and for peace and strength for Grace and her family.
Rosemary Lisby: Rosemary continues to deal with inflamed nerves in her back, affecting mobility in her right leg and causing numbness in her foot. Please pray for complete healing and fully restored mobility. Also remember her husband, Greg, as he continues to care for her.
Virginia Ann Edwards (Bo Edwards’ mother): Sister Edwards, age 91, is continuing her recovery and rehab following a partial hip replacement. She will continue living at home for the time being.
Bo Edwards’ sister, Calli: Please pray for Calli’s mental health and for peace within her immediate family.

OUR SICK AND SAINTS AT HOME
Please remember in your prayers the following GC members who have ongoing health issues and are generally unable to attend worship services:
David and Carolyn Wheeler: David is battling cancer in both kidneys as well as prostate cancer. Pain is being kept under control very well with minimal pain meds, and both David and Carolyn continue to maintain wonderful, inspiring positive attitudes. Please keep this special couple in your prayers. They welcome cards and calls.
Esther and Russ Johnson: Esther has experienced improved strength and breathing through physical therapy, which has now been reduced to once a week. Please pray for continued progress for Esther as she manages Parkinson’s disease, and for Russ as he faithfully cares for her.
Bert and Joyce Blackwell: Pray for Bert’s declining health and for Joyce as his caregiver. We pray for strength for Joyce and that she can hold up physically as caregiver. Melissa Boyle is helping to coordinate meals; you may sign up to take them a meal at mealtrain.com/trains/yrzl3k. Feel free to send Joyce a text of encouragement (no calls, please); she so appreciates it.
Wayne and Faye Tincher: The Tinchers, both in their early 90s, have been GC members since moving to Cumming three years ago. Due to health and mobility challenges, neither is able to drive. Please keep this dear couple in your thoughts and prayers.
