MEDICAL
Camie Pew: Mark and Patti Pew’s daughter-in-law, Camie, has been battling recurring breast cancer for several years. Please see this significant announcement from her husband, Nathan:
“After much prayer, discussion amongst her family and her medical team, Camie has decided to forgo treatment and move to hospice care. I could not be more proud of my wife and everything that she did. She left no stone unturned and did every treatment that she could. She is not giving up. She is not a quitter. She is the bravest person I know and she is a daughter of the King but her time has now come when she is ready to see her King face-to-face.
Specific things to pray for at this time:
John Wood: John is in New York City for a two‑week stay as part of his clinical trial follow‑up, and Alicia is with him. Testing and consultations continue, and encouragingly, his pancreatic cancer tumors continue to shrink.
In recent weeks, a significant side effect has developed, with fluid collecting in his abdomen that has required drainage and has caused ongoing nausea. His medical team is working to address this issue.
Please pray that the fluid retention will be resolved, that John’s healing will continue, and for peace and strength for him, Alicia, and their entire family.
Kathy Brooks: As many of you know, Kathy has been living with multiple sclerosis for many years. She was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and began treatment on May 18. After 28 days of chemotherapy, a follow-up biopsy will be performed to evaluate her progress.
Please pray that her treatment will be effective, that side effects will be minimal, and that she will be strengthened and sustained each day. Also remember her husband, Ed, as he faithfully cares for her—praying that God’s will be done and that both will be filled with peace, strength, and encouragement during this time.
Grace Brown: Grace continues undergoing immunotherapy for lung cancer through daily medication and monthly injections. Recent scans show that all tumors are continuing to shrink and that inflammation is steadily decreasing—praise God for this encouraging progress! Please continue praying for Grace’s healing, manageable treatment side effects, and for peace and strength for Grace and her family.
Sherry McMillan: Sherry underwent knee replacement surgery on May 14 and is recovering well. Please pray for a swift recovery. Please also pray for strength for her husband, Kirk, as he cares for her.
Rosemary Lisby: Rosemary continues to deal with inflamed nerves in her back, affecting mobility in her right leg and causing numbness in her foot. Please pray for complete healing and fully restored mobility. Also remember her husband, Greg, as he continues to care for her.
Wanda Quattlebaum: On March 10, Wanda fell and fractured her femur just above the knee. After extensive surgery and a short stay in a rehabilitation facility, she returned home and is responding well to physical therapy. Please continue to pray for this dear couple and a full recovery for Wanda.
Virginia Ann Edwards (Bo Edwards’ mother): Sister Edwards, age 91, is continuing her recovery and rehab following a partial hip replacement. She will continue living at home for the time being.
Bo Edwards’ sister, Calli: Please pray for Calli’s mental health and for peace within her immediate family.

Specific things to pray for at this time:
- Wisdom as we continue to navigate these things.
- My daughters, they are most precious to Camie.
- God’s peace for Camie as He walks her into His presence. She has her fears of leaving this world but we know that He has never forsaken her in her cancer and He will not forsake her in her death. Peace for her.
- That God would continue to be glorified in her present suffering and in her upcoming glorification. Soli Deo Gloria.”

OUR SICK AND SAINTS AT HOME
Please remember in your prayers the following GC members who have ongoing health issues and are generally unable to attend worship services:
Esther Johnson: Esther has experienced improved strength and breathing through physical therapy, which has now been reduced to once a week. Please pray for continued progress for Esther as she manages Parkinson’s disease, and for Russ as he faithfully cares for her.
Bert and Joyce Blackwell: Pray for Bert’s declining health and for Joyce as his caregiver. We pray for strength for Joyce and that she can hold up physically as caregiver. Melissa Boyle is helping to coordinate meals; you may sign up to take a meal at mealtrain.com/trains/yrzl3k. Feel free to send Joyce a text of encouragement (no calls, please); she so appreciates it.
David and Carolyn Wheeler: David is battling cancer in both kidneys as well as prostate cancer. Pain is being kept under control very well with minimal pain meds, and both David and Carolyn continue to maintain wonderful, inspiring positive attitudes. Please keep this special couple in your prayers. David and Carolyn welcome cards and calls.
Wayne and Faye Tincher: The Tinchers, both in their early 90s, have been GC members since moving to Cumming three years ago. Due to health and mobility challenges, neither is able to drive. Please keep this dear couple in your thoughts and prayers.
