MEDICAL
Verna Enfinger: Margaret Krams’ mother, Verna, was hospitalized this past Monday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Florida for treatment of a urinary tract infection and related health issues. Please pray for strength, endurance, and complete healing for Verna. Also remember Margaret and the entire family in your prayers as they care for her and support her during this time.
Kathy Brooks - Under Hospice Care: Kathy is at home under hospice care as she has decided to forgo further treatment of some serious health issues. Kathy and Ed are delighted with every person from the hospice team who has visited and are so grateful for the love and support brought by visitors and phone calls.
Please continue to pray for these two beloved saints, asking God to surround them with His peace, comfort, strength, and grace.
John Wood: John is currently being treated by his Emory oncologist for cancer in the lining of his abdomen, which has caused nausea and fluid buildup. His medical team is also exploring additional clinical trial medications for his pancreatic cancer. We remain grateful for the success of the initial trial drug, which reduced the cancer in John’s pancreas by approximately 60 percent and eliminated the cancer in his liver. That trial has now concluded for John as he focuses on treatment for the abdominal cancer. John recently completed radiation treatments and has been receiving chemotherapy.
From Alicia: “John has been struggling with poor appetite, nausea, and vomiting for several days. I had to take him to the ER Saturday (July 4th) because he was dehydrated. They admitted him and he remained until Thursday afternoon. It took them several days to get his levels back to normal. Then we had scans and tests to determine the cause of the nausea/vomiting.
We have a pretty good plan moving forward. Our prayer requests are: control of nausea, able to tolerate eating, able to tolerate chemotherapy, relief from cramping and back pain.”
Please pray that this new treatment plan will be effective and that John will experience relief from nausea and pain, regain his strength and appetite, and tolerate his treatments well. Also remember Alicia and the entire family as they continue this journey together.
Grace Brown: Grace recently learned that the tumor in her lung has begun to grow again. She is scheduled to meet with a radiation oncologist next week, and it is expected that she will undergo radiation treatments to target the growth. Please continue praying for Grace’s healing, for manageable treatment side effects, and for peace, strength, and encouragement for Grace and her family.
Rosemary Lisby: Rosemary continues to deal with inflamed nerves in her back, affecting mobility in her right leg and causing numbness in her foot. Please pray for complete healing and fully restored mobility. Also remember her husband, Greg, as he continues to care for her.
Virginia Ann Edwards (Bo Edwards’ mother): Sister Edwards, age 91, is continuing her recovery and rehab following a partial hip replacement. She will continue living at home for the time being.
Bo Edwards’ sister, Calli: Please pray for Calli’s mental health and for peace within her immediate family.

OUR SICK AND SAINTS AT HOME
Please remember in your prayers the following GC members who have ongoing health issues and are generally unable to attend worship services:
Esther and Russ Johnson: Esther has experienced increased weakness in recent weeks and has undergone medical testing to determine whether additional treatments may help improve her condition. We continue to pray for renewed strength and an improved quality of life as she manages Parkinson’s disease. Please also remember Russ, who faithfully cares for her each day. May the Lord bless and sustain them both as they continue to persevere with love, faith, and gratitude.
David and Carolyn Wheeler: David is battling cancer in both kidneys as well as prostate cancer. Pain is being kept under control very well with minimal pain meds, and both David and Carolyn continue to maintain wonderful, inspiring positive attitudes. Please keep this special couple in your prayers. They welcome cards and calls.
Bert and Joyce Blackwell: Please pray for Bert as his health continues to decline, and for Joyce as she faithfully cares for him each day. Pray that God will strengthen Joyce physically, emotionally, and spiritually as she serves as Bert’s caregiver.
Melissa Boyle is helping to coordinate meals; you may sign up to take them a meal at mealtrain.com/trains/yrzl3k. Feel free to send Joyce a text of encouragement (no calls, please); she so appreciates it.
Wayne and Faye Tincher: The Tinchers, both in their early 90s, have been GC members since moving to Cumming three years ago. Due to health and mobility challenges, neither is able to drive. Please keep this dear couple in your thoughts and prayers.
