MEDICAL
Rosemary Lisby: Rosemary is experiencing numbness in her right foot and ankle caused by a pinched nerve in her back. This has been especially challenging because Rosemary cannot safely drive right now. MRI results this week suggest that non-surgical treatment may be possible, and doctors are considering an epidural to calm the affected nerves. Please pray that the treatment will bring complete healing and restore her to full health and strength soon. Also remember her husband, Greg, as he cares for her—and serves as her chauffeur for now.
Susan Boling: This past Friday, Susan had her pre-op appointment for hip replacement surgery, which is scheduled for this Wednesday. Please pray that with her new hip, the severe pain she has endured for many months will quickly disappear as she begins rehab. Also pray that the related pain in her lower back and right knee will be relieved. This has been a long battle all year. Lord, we ask not only for relief but for full restoration of Susan’s mobility and health!
Calli (Bo Edwards’ sister): Calli is back home after spending several weeks in a mental health facility in Charlotte, NC. Please pray for continued healing, renewed motivation, and peace in her home with her husband and their special needs son.
Tyler Davidson: Tyler was recently diagnosed with a rare congenital heart condition which doctors plan to treat by performing a heart ablation, scheduled for December 23. In the meantime, he had a stress test echocardiogram on November 14, and his doctors continue to monitor him closely.
Until surgery, Tyler is on light duty instead of his usual one-day-on, two-days-off rotation with the Cherokee County Fire Department. He’s grateful to still be able to work during this time. The upcoming procedure is expected to allow him to live a normal, healthy life. Please pray for Tyler’s medical team, a timely surgery, and full recovery. Also, lift up his wife, Tori, and their three young children during this time.
Grace Brown: Grace continues chemotherapy for her recently diagnosed lung cancer, taking daily oral medication along with weekly infusions. Doctors will evaluate the treatments during Thanksgiving week. Tom shares that the infusions are going smoothly and Grace is doing well. Please pray that the chemo will be fully effective in eliminating the cancer and for strength, resilience, and peace for Grace and her sweet family.
John Wood: John continues in his thirty-person experimental trial in New York City for treatment of pancreatic cancer. He’s tolerating the trial drugs well, although they cause severe fatigue and random vomiting. Fortunately, he is sleeping well at night, and his appetite has improved. Alicia will be with him much of the time but will be rotating with other family members so she can also spend time at home with their daughter, Ayden.
Please pray for John’s clinical trial to be successful and for complete healing. Pain management is especially difficult right now. We ask God for relief, strength, peace, and comfort for John and his family.

OUR SICK AND SAINTS AT HOME
Please remember in your prayers the following GC members who have ongoing health issues and are generally unable to attend worship services:
Esther and Russ Johnson: Esther continues to face a number of health challenges, including Parkinson’s disease. Recent cardiology and other test results did not indicate any specific issue to explain Esther’s ongoing lack of energy. However, as a precaution, her cardiologist will perform a heart catheterization soon. Besides continued weakness, her breathing is still not as comfortable as it should be. We pray that God will give strength and vitality to both Esther and Russ, and that Esther is able to breathe normally again.
Bert and Joyce Blackwell: Pray for Bert’s declining health and for Joyce as his caregiver. Joyce says that they continue to hang in there. Melissa Boyle is helping to coordinate meals; you may sign up to take a meal at mealtrain.com/trains/yrzl3k. Feel free to send Joyce a text of encouragement (no calls, please); she so appreciates it.
David and Carolyn Wheeler: David cannot be around large crowds due to his weak immune system. He is battling cancer in both kidneys as well as prostate cancer. Thankfully, neither has spread, and we pray that this remains the case since surgery is not an option for either condition. Pain management is currently under control. David credits Carolyn for keeping him alive—she is a wonderful caregiver. They continue regular doctor visits as Carolyn also faces health challenges, yet both maintain positive attitudes. David and Carolyn welcome calls or visits.
