MEDICAL
John Wood: John is healing well after a head injury from a fall in New York, which caused a brain bleed. During his recovery, his pancreatic cancer clinical trial medications were paused, allowing him to spend a few days at home. Thankfully, John experienced no nausea or vomiting following the fall.
Praise God, John returned to New York last Friday and has resumed his clinical trial treatments. His father, Ron, is by his side, and other family members will join them next week for Christmas. John’s oncologist is encouraged by his progress in the trial.
Please continue to pray for the success of John’s treatment, relief from pain, and complete healing. We also ask for strength, peace, and comfort for John, Alicia, and their entire family during this challenging season.
Rosemary Lisby: Rosemary continues to experience periodic numbness in her right foot caused by a pinched nerve in her back. This has been especially challenging because Rosemary cannot safely drive right now. Please pray that some upcoming treatment being scheduled for mid-January will bring complete healing. Also remember her husband, Greg, as he cares for her—and serves as her chauffeur for now.
Susan Boling: Susan is making steady progress in her recovery from hip replacement surgery. She is now able to sit, stand, and lie down, though she continues to experience some back pain and the normal challenges of surgical recovery. We are grateful that Susan is in a much better mental and emotional place than just a few weeks ago—thank You, Lord, for answering prayers for relief! Please continue to pray for her complete restoration of mobility, strength, and overall health.
Calli (Bo Edwards’ sister): Calli is back home after spending several weeks in a mental health facility in Charlotte, NC. Please pray for continued healing, renewed motivation, and peace in her home with her husband and their special needs son.
Tyler Davidson: Tyler was recently diagnosed with a rare congenital heart condition which doctors plan to treat by performing a heart ablation, scheduled for December 23. In the meantime, his doctors continue to monitor him closely.
Until surgery, Tyler is on light duty instead of his usual one-day-on, two-days-off rotation with the Cherokee County Fire Department. He’s grateful to still be able to work during this time. The upcoming procedure is expected to allow him to live a normal, healthy life. Please pray for Tyler’s medical team, a timely surgery, and full recovery. Also, lift up his wife, Tori, and their three young children during this time.
Grace Brown: Grace continues to receive immunotherapy treatments for lung cancer, taking daily oral medication and weekly infusions. We are thankful to share encouraging news: recent scans show the treatment is working! The main tumor in her lung has shrunk from 4.5 cm to less than 2 cm, and the lesions in her brain and hip are also shrinking—some are no longer visible. Praise God for this progress, for the right doctor, and for insurance
coverage that made this treatment possible. Please continue to pray for complete healing, strength, and peace for Grace and her family as she continues therapy.

OUR SICK AND SAINTS AT HOME
Please remember in your prayers the following GC members who have ongoing health issues and are generally unable to attend worship services:
Esther and Russ Johnson: Esther continues to face a number of health challenges, including Parkinson’s disease. Recent cardiology and other test results did not indicate any specific issue to explain Esther’s ongoing lack of energy. However, as a precaution, her cardiologist may perform a heart catheterization soon. Besides continued weakness, her breathing is still not as comfortable as it should be. We pray that God will give strength and vitality to both Esther and Russ, and that Esther is able to breathe normally again.
Bert and Joyce Blackwell: Pray for Bert’s declining health and for Joyce as his caregiver. Joyce says that they continue to hang in there. Melissa Boyle is helping to coordinate meals; you may sign up to take a meal at mealtrain.com/trains/yrzl3k. Feel free to send Joyce a text of encouragement (no calls, please); she so appreciates it.
David and Carolyn Wheeler: David cannot be around large crowds due to his weak immune system. He is battling cancer in both kidneys as well as prostate cancer. Thankfully, neither has spread, and we pray that this remains the case since surgery is not an option for either condition. Pain management is currently under control. David credits Carolyn for keeping him alive—she is a wonderful caregiver. They continue regular doctor visits as Carolyn also faces health challenges, yet both maintain positive attitudes. David and Carolyn welcome calls or visits.
