THANKSGIVING
Deana Green: Deana would like to thank everyone for the love, support and prayers for her and Kevin James (the recipient) during her recent kidney donation surgery and recovery. She is doing very well and feeling great! Kevin is also continuing to do remarkably well and grows stronger every week.
IN MEMORIAM
William Boyle: Patrick Boyle’s father, William, passed away on August 17. Services were held Saturday, August 30, in Nassau, New York. Please pray for Patrick, Melissa and family as they mourn the loss of Patrick’s father.
MEDICAL
Bea Sage: Patrick Boyle’s sister, Bea, was diagnosed this past week with stage 3 throat cancer. She will have six weeks of radiation mixed in with chemotherapy. Please pray that treatments will be completely successful and for Bea to return to full health.
Fran Sexton: Fran continues to recover at home after being hospitalized due to swelling and pain in her right leg, caused by a blood clot. Please pray that there are no further clots, that the swelling subsides completely, and that she regains full mobility. Also, please keep her husband, Paul, in your prayers as he cares for Fran during her recovery.
Doug Gilliard: Doug is at home recovering from serious hip surgery performed August 21 after falling and rebreaking his left hip—just weeks after it had been surgically repaired. This setback means a longer recovery ahead, but thankfully, a metal plate has been placed in the hip to provide greater stability. Please pray for healing from the surgery and full recovery with no more falls. Also pray for strength in the face of this medical storm for the entire family, especially Doug’s wife, Jane.
Loretta Allen (Ann Kendrick and Tommy Bradford’s sister): On August 22, Loretta received news that she had stage 4 bone cancer and was told that life expectancy was limited. A plan to have periodic chemotherapy sessions at Northside Forsyth Hospital was developed. She was supposed to come from her North Georgia home in Blairsville for a chemo treatment this past week. Instead, she went to the emergency room in a Blairsville hospital with blood clots in her lungs and low oxygen levels. She was sent home with an oxygen tank and medication.
Loretta is very weak and at an especially low point right now. If she’s up to it, she will travel this Friday for a meeting with her Cumming oncologist. Brother-in-law Walter Kendrick (Ann’s husband) said about Loretta to the family, “It’s so sad to see her so down. Keep praying for God’s will for her to be carried out and understood by all of us. Love you, Walker.” At 82 years old, Loretta and her family are up against a challenging journey. We pray that our Heavenly Father will bless and be with Loretta and her family, and ask you to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Susan Boling: After a month-long stay at Cumming Health and Rehab, Susan is finally heading home, equipped with a four-week treatment plan that will require daily visits to the doctor’s office for antibiotic infusions to treat an infection on her heart’s aortic valve.
Her initial hospitalization at Northside Hospital Forsyth began with severe back pain, which ultimately led to the discovery of the heart infection. Although Susan is now able to participate in rehab and walk with a cane, she continues to experience back pain and will be receiving further outpatient treatment for it.
This past week, Susan celebrated a birthday—though not in the most festive of settings, as she was still in the rehab facility. Please continue to keep her in your prayers for a full recovery, complete healing, and relief from pain. Happy Birthday, Susan—sending love and strength your way!
John Wood: John continues his chemo treatments for pancreatic cancer every few weeks. He has gained back some weight and is actively walking each day. He still deals with periodic weakness and nausea after treatments but is able to eat. Please pray for strength for John, full remission of the cancer, and complete healing. Pray also for Alicia and their entire sweet family.
Bo Edwards’ sister, Calli: Continues to deal with mental health issues. Please pray for Calli and her family in these ongoing struggles, that the issues will be resolved and the household will have peace. Please pray also for Bo as he is ministering to them.
