Prayer Requests • 11/24/2024

Bobby McVey:
So thankful to God that his heart has healed enough from bypass surgery to start physical activity again and has now been able to resume chemo treatments for lung cancer. Please pray for full healing for both heart and lungs. We need Bobby’s big loving heart and sweet singing voice to be in tip-top shape!

Bo Edwards: Spending most of his time in South Carolina with his sister and her 25-year-old special needs son, who is prone to abusive treatment of his mom. Please pray for the mental health of his family, and for strength as Bo ministers to them.

Ava Beasley: Continue to pray for full healing for Jim and Marjorie’s young granddaughter, Ava, who is still experiencing pain after back surgery.

Greg Lisby: Has received some relief from his sciatica following an epidural, and will visit with his doctor this Monday for further treatment options. Please pray for healing of Greg’s hip.

Nina Reeves:  Greg Lisby’s sister, Nina, has multiple health problems. Please continue to pray for her improvement and healing.

Mark Sampley: Rick’s brother is still hospitalized in Chattanooga, TN, recovering from a foot infection. Please pray that proper follow-up care and facilities will be provided, and he can build on the gains made toward healing, both physically and mentally.

Sandra Barker: Scheduled for a cardiac ablation procedure for atrial fibrillation on December 5th.

Ray Turner: Back surgery scheduled for 12/9.  Pain is being well managed at present. Please pray for successful surgery and healing, and for Gail as she looks after him.

Don Latham: Please pray for our dear brother, who is knocking on heaven’s door as he rests in hospice care at home in Old Norcross. Also pray for his family, who is seeing to his needs 24/7.

Many of our older members likely remember Don as an elder at Campus CofC, and before that, as a powerful outreach evangelist and teacher at North Atlanta CofC and its legacy congregation (Sandy Springs CofC). Don was attending Gwinnett CofC until becoming homebound in recent months.
