Day 13 • Ciudad de Ángeles • James Maclaskey
"Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows."
Isaiah 1:17
-----
James MacLaskey, Director of Ciudad de Ángeles, shares a powerful example of God's provision at work in the ministry. During a meeting with leaders from DIF, Mexico's government agency responsible for child and family services, an unexpected connection helped open the door for deeper collaboration in caring for vulnerable children.
As a result, four new children were welcomed into the Ciudad de Ángeles family earlier this year. James reflects on how God used both relationships and circumstances to make a way for these children to find a safe, nurturing home where they can grow, heal, and learn about the love of Christ.
This story reminds us that God is often working behind the scenes, preparing opportunities and opening doors that only He can orchestrate. Through faithful service and generous support, children are being given hope, stability, and a brighter future.
