Day 7 • Ciudad de Ángeles

Please join us in praying for the children, families, and ministry of Ciudad de Ángeles.

Our Father in Heaven,

We thank You for the precious children You have entrusted to Ciudad de Ángeles. We are grateful that, in a world where so many children experience loss, abuse, abandonment, and uncertainty, You have provided a place where children can find safety, stability, family, love and a relationship with You.

We thank You for every child who has walked through our doors, and for the ways You have worked in their lives. Thank You for children learning to trust, to hope, to dream, and to understand that their lives have value and purpose. Thank You for the house parents, staff, supporters, and churches who have opened their hearts and lives to these children and who continue to love them faithfully, day after day.

Father, we especially lift up the children who are new to Ciudad. You know every part of their story. You know the hurts they carry, the things they cannot yet express, and the fears they may not yet know how to name. We ask You to bring healing to their hearts and peace to their lives. Give them the time, patience, love, and security they need to learn that they are safe and that they belong.

And, Father, we pray for the children who have not yet arrived. We trust Your timing and Your wisdom. As You bring children to our doors who need a home, give us the faith, wisdom, resources, and people necessary to receive them well. Help us never to lose sight of why this ministry exists: to give children a safe and healthy home, to raise them in the knowledge of Christ, and to prepare them to become responsible, compassionate Christian adults.

Bless the people who make this work possible. Strengthen our house parents when the days are challenging. Give wisdom to our leaders. Give patience to those caring for children who are learning to trust. Give encouragement to those who sometimes wonder whether their small acts of faithfulness truly matter. Remind us that every meal prepared, every lesson taught, every prayer, every conversation, every hug, and every ordinary day is part of something much greater than we can see.

And Father, we ask You to move the hearts of Your people. Place Ciudad de Ángeles before the churches, families, and individuals You are calling to participate in this work. Provide the resources this ministry needs so that we can continue caring for the children already in our homes and be ready when You place another child in our care. We ask you to continue to raise up faithful people who will say yes, people willing to pray, give, serve, sponsor, and become part of the family surrounding these children.

Father, we pray for the future of these children. Let them grow knowing they are loved. Let them grow in wisdom, character, and faith. Lead them toward You. Give them the strength to overcome what they have experienced and the courage to believe that their past does not determine their future. And when they leave Ciudad one day, may they carry with them not only an education and the skills to build a life, but a deep understanding of Your love and a desire to reflect that love to others.

We are grateful that You allow us to be part of this work. Help us to be faithful with what You have placed in our hands, humble in our service, generous in our giving, and steadfast in our love. In all that we do, may Your name be glorified through the lives of these children.
