MEDICAL
Reba Nichols - Now Under Hospice Care (Johns Creek Senior Living): Our dear sister Reba, age 97, is losing strength, and her three children are visiting her daily as she draws closer to heaven. Kathy Stroop (John) are members at Grace Chapel, and Allen Nichols (Debbie) and Kay Ramers (Skip) are former GC members. Reba’s husband, our dear brother Terry, went to be with the Lord in 2022.
The Nichols family has had, and continues to have, a great influence in God’s Kingdom, and we see it in Reba’s lifetime of graciousness to all. Her son-in-law John put it this way: “If I could pick out a mother-in-law, it would be her every time. She is so wonderful and loving.” Please keep Reba and the entire family in your prayers, asking that her last days be peaceful as she prepares to be with the Lord in the coming days or weeks. Reba’s true “home” awaits!
Macey Chupp - A Note from Parents Maren and Jeremy: We want to thank you all for praying for our family, and we humbly ask that you continue to pray for Macey. After Macey, a varsity volleyball player, had a knee injury and surgery, she began experiencing “odd” symptoms that became increasingly scary over the summer. After many tests and appointments, we finally have a diagnosis: Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) with psychogenic non-epileptic seizures.
On October 19, Macey will begin a 10-day intensive treatment program at a functional neurology center (in Cumming—Praise God!), followed by six months of brain rehabilitation.
We would love for you to pray specifically with us:
Even in the midst of uncertainty, we continue to see God’s blessings and are reminded daily of His goodness and great love for us, especially through all of you. Thank you for coming alongside us and interceding on our behalf! We love you!
Kathy Brooks - Under Hospice Care at Home: Kathy is at home under hospice care as she has decided to forgo further treatment of some serious health issues. Kathy and Ed are delighted with every person from the hospice team and are so grateful for the love and support brought by visitors and phone calls. Please continue to pray for these two beloved saints and family, asking God to surround them with His peace, comfort, strength, and grace.
Ashley Wyatt: Ashley has completed seven of her 20 rounds of radiation and is thankful to have had no side effects so far. Please continue to pray for her strength, energy, and complete healing. Rocky and Ashley are so grateful for all the prayers, love, and support they have received since her diagnosis.
Grace Brown: Grace has completed radiation treatments and has resumed immunotherapy for a tumor in her lung that had begun to grow again. She also continues to receive her monthly chemotherapy infusions. Please continue praying for Grace’s healing, for manageable treatment side effects, and for peace, strength, and encouragement for Grace and her family.
Kathy Bain: Jane Gilliard’s sister, Kathy, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Kathy and her husband, Dewey, are former members of Grace Chapel. She has begun a course of chemotherapy treatments. Please pray for strength, comfort and peace as Kathy combats this disease. Also pray for successful treatment, complete healing, and encouragement for Dewey and the entire family.
Bo Edwards’ sister, Calli: Please pray for Calli’s mental healing and emotional well-being, and for peace, strength, and encouragement for her immediate family.

OUR SICK AND SAINTS AT HOME
Please remember in your prayers the following GC members who have ongoing health issues and are generally unable to attend worship services:
David and Carolyn Wheeler: David is battling cancer in both kidneys as well as prostate cancer. Pain is being kept under control very well with minimal pain meds, and both David and Carolyn continue to maintain wonderful, inspiring positive attitudes. Please keep this special couple in your prayers. They welcome cards and calls.
Esther and Russ Johnson: Esther has resumed outpatient physical therapy once per week after taking a break for a time. We continue to pray for renewed strength, improved breathing, and a better quality of life as Esther manages Parkinson’s disease. Also remember Russ as he faithfully cares for her each day. May the Lord bless and sustain them both as they continue to persevere with love, faith, and gratitude.
Bert and Joyce Blackwell: Please pray for Bert as his health continues to decline, and for Joyce as she faithfully cares for him each day. Pray that God will strengthen Joyce physically, emotionally, and spiritually as she serves as Bert’s caregiver.
Melissa Boyle is helping to coordinate meals; you may sign up to take them a meal at mealtrain.com/trains/yrzl3k. Feel free to send Joyce a text of encouragement (no calls, please); she so appreciates it.
Wayne and Faye Tincher: The Tinchers, both in their early 90s, have been GC members since moving to Cumming three years ago. Due to health and mobility challenges, neither is able to drive. Please keep this dear couple in your thoughts and prayers.
