DUE TO SNOW AND ICE, OUR JANUARY 12 SERVICES HAVE BEEN CANCELED

Prayer Requests • 6/29/2025

MEDICAL

Tommy Bradford: Had carotid artery surgery on Wednesday, June 25th at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta (Collier Road). He’s back at home after an overnight hospital stay and is doing very well.  Please pray for rapid recovery, return to good health, and for Debbie as his caregiver.

Mike Fischer: Went home after neck surgery performed on Tuesday, June 17th, to repair damage sustained in a fall from a rock-climbing wall. Mike is resting and wearing his braces (neck and back) and will be tired and uncomfortable for a while. Please pray for full recovery. Also, pray for Pam as she cares for him. Of the many inspiring things about Mike, we know his loving and indominable spirit and his reliance on our Heavenly Father will see him through this challenge.

Anna Watson: Recovering from nicely form knee replacement surgery performed on Monday, June 16th. Please pray for a smooth rehab and a knee without pain, and for Neldon and daughter Carisse as caregivers. She’s doing very well.

Deana Green: On June 16th, Deana successfully donated a kidney to Kevin James at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. (Kevin and his wife were formerly members of Grace Chapel before relocating back to Tennessee.)

The transplant was successful. Both Deana and Kevin are doing very well in their recoveries.  Please continue to pray for Deana and Kevin—for smooth and complete recoveries, and for Kevin to enjoy a long, healthy life thanks to Deana’s inspiring and selfless gift. This is an excellent example of what the love of God and our Savior, Jesus Christ, is all about.

Ava Beasley: Marjorie Beasley’s 13-year-old granddaughter, Ava, had successful scoliosis surgery on Friday, June 20th. Ava is recovering slowly but is able to sit up now.  She’s dealing with ongoing back pain. Please pray for successful pain management, gaining strength in the rehab process, and complete healing. Also, please pray for peace for this sweet girl and her family during this time.

John Wood: Was able to handle last week’s chemo quite well. He is gaining weight, which is a good sign. John has started regaining strength and began exercising again!  Alicia says, “We are so grateful for all of the prayers. We know that they make the difference!”

Please pray for John and his sweet family. Pray for strength, for full remission of his pancreatic cancer, and for complete healing as John continues treatments.

Bert & Joyce Blackwell: Bert is at home under Joyce’s care as his health continues to slowly decline. Please pray for comfort for Bert, and strength, comfort, and energy for Joyce. Sign up to take a meal or contribute to their meal fund at mealtrain.com/yrzl3k.

David Wheeler: Results from a recent MRI show that cancer in the right kidney is growing slowly, but there is a new, aggressive type of cancer in his left kidney, which fortunately has not metastasized. Follow up scheduled for June; David is not a candidate for kidney or prostate surgery. Please pray for strength, comfort, and peace for David and wife Carolyn.

Esther and Russ Johnson: Esther recently changed doctors as part of her dealing with Parkinson’s disease and is also dealing with some gastrointestinal issues. Please pray that Esther’s ongoing and future treatments will lead to much better daily health, strength, and control over any anxiety.  Please pray for Russ as her caregiver.

Laura Johnson: We pray for Russ Johnson’s sister and her ongoing battle with bladder cancer (over nine years). The doctors are working to optimize her medications. Please pray for strength, reduced nausea, and that the treatments will rid her body of cancer.
