From Ordinary to Extraordinary

I love fishing stories! As we begin this new series that's where we will start. Wanting a better place to speak from, Jesus borrowed the bow of an ordinary fisherman's boat. A Jesus finished His message, He gave Peter and his fishing crew a little friendly advice- put out to deep water and let down your nets one more time. Peter, it seems, decided to humor Jesus. The result was an extraordinary catch and an extraordinary display of divine power. Having witnessed this miracle, Peter fell humbly at Jesus feet, and boldly declared His ordinariness. Here's the beauty of this story: When we bring our ordinary lives to Jesus and offer them humbly in His service, He promises we will do extraordinary things through His power.
