DUE TO WINTER WEATHER, OUR JANUARY 25 SERVICES HAVE BEEN CANCELED

Community Partner news and service opportunities for GC members

GC's Care Team Corner connects members with our local community partner organizations, offering a variety of community-focused projects and events. Whether you’re passionate about feeding the hungry, mentoring children, or participating in neighborhood clean-ups, there’s something for everyone to make a meaningful impact.

PARTNER OF THE MONTH

Acknowledging that every human life begins at conception and is worthy of protection, Whispering Hope offers compassion, hope and help for anyone vulnerable to abortion by presenting life-affirming alternatives and support and by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Founded in 1996, Whispering Hope offers free support, medical services, and more to women in our community via their medical program (Cumming Women's Center), Hope Program, and Living Hope.

Whispering Hope strives to demonstrate the following core values in their work and relationships:

  • Dependence on God (John 15:4-5; Romans 11:35-36; Ephesians 2:8-9)
  • Biblical Worldview (2 Timothy 2:15; Colossians 2:8)
  • Excellence (1 Corinthians 4:2; Colossians 3:23; 1 Peter 2:12)
  • Integrity (Psalm 86:11; Proverbs 10:9; Proverbs 11:3)
  • Grace and Truth (John 1:14; Colossians 4:6; 2 Timothy 4:2; 1 John 3:18)
  • Trustworthiness (Psalm 145:13; Proverbs 11:13; Proverbs 12:22; 1 Corinthians 4:2)
  • Kindness (Psalm 19:14; Galatians 5:22; Ephesians 4:32)
  • Unity (Romans 15:6; 1 Corinthians 1:10; Philippians 2:2)

We Need Mentors!
Whitlow Elementary needs MENTORS!

A mentor is a volunteer that helps provide a WES student with a special, supportive relationship that will hopefully become a foundation for success in that child's life.

Mentors typically commit 30 minutes per week during school hours to meet with a student and help promote a student's self-worth, motivation, coping skills and strength of character.

Mentoring is a special way that you can help children and give back to your community. You can make a difference!

Contact our Whitlow Elementary liaison, Tim Aligheri, with any questions.
