DUE TO SNOW AND ICE, OUR JANUARY 12 SERVICES HAVE BEEN CANCELED

Community Partner news and service opportunities for GC members

GC's Care Team Corner connects members with our local community partner organizations, offering a variety of community-focused projects and events. Whether you’re passionate about feeding the hungry, mentoring children, or participating in neighborhood clean-ups, there’s something for everyone to make a meaningful impact.

PARTNER OF THE MONTH

Excellence is a 60-year tradition at Midway. Established in the early sixties, Midway was originally a community school in a sleepy farming area between Alpharetta and Cumming.

Today Midway thrives as a school with a diverse and talented population of learners that welcomes all families to a fast-growing suburb of a southern metropolis.

Named a Georgia School of Excellence, Midway has received a number of Title I and State of Georgia awards for academic achievement and gains, and was recognized as a Family Friendly school by the Georgia State Superintendent of Schools.

CURRENT PARTNER NEEDS

Meet the most pressing needs in our community

Delivery Person Needed
HOPELinc is in need of an additional volunteer to pick up bread from Publix and deliver it to their thrift store, The Shop.

Pick Up Location: Publix, 4900 Atlanta Highway, Alpharetta
Delivery Location: The Shop, 429 Canton Highway, Cumming

Please contact our HOPELinc liaison, Kirk McMillan, if you can hep!
We Need Mentors!
Whitlow Elementary needs MENTORS!

A mentor is a volunteer that helps provide a WES student with a special, supportive relationship that will hopefully become a foundation for success in that child's life.

Mentors typically commit 30 minutes per week during school hours to meet with a student and help promote a student's self-worth, motivation, coping skills and strength of character.

Mentoring is a special way that you can help children and give back to your community. You can make a difference!
