She is the bravest person I know and she is a daughter of the King but her time has now come when she is ready to see her King face-to-face.

Specific things to pray for at this time:

Wisdom as we continue to navigate these things.

My daughters, they are most precious to Camie.

God’s peace for Camie as He walks her into His presence. She has her fears of leaving this world but we know that He has never forsaken her in her cancer and He will not forsake her in her death. Peace for her.

That God would continue to be glorified in her present suffering and in her upcoming glorification. Soli Deo Gloria.”

Please continue praying for Camie and all who love her!

John Wood: John is in New York City for a two‑week stay as part of his clinical trial follow‑up, and Alicia is with him. Testing and consultations continue, and encouragingly, his pancreatic cancer tumors continue to shrink.

In recent weeks, a significant side effect has developed, with fluid collecting in his abdomen that has required drainage and has caused ongoing nausea. His medical team is working to address this issue.

Please pray that the fluid retention will be resolved, that John’s healing will continue, and for peace and strength for him, Alicia, and their entire family.

Kathy Brooks: As many of you know, Kathy has been living with multiple sclerosis for many years. She was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and began treatment on May 18. After 28 days of chemotherapy, a follow-up biopsy will be performed to evaluate her progress.

Please pray that her treatment will be effective, that side effects will be minimal, and that she will be strengthened and sustained each day. Also remember her husband, Ed, as he faithfully cares for her—praying that God’s will be done and that both will be filled with peace, strength, and encouragement during this time.

Grace Brown: Grace continues undergoing immunotherapy for lung cancer through daily medication and monthly injections. Recent scans show that all tumors are continuing to shrink and that inflammation is steadily decreasing—praise God for this encouraging progress! Please continue praying for Grace’s healing, manageable treatment side effects, and for peace and strength for Grace and her family.

Sherry McMillan: Sherry underwent knee replacement surgery on May 14 and is recovering well. However, a recent scan revealed an increase in the size of a lesion in his right hepatic (liver) lobe. His oncologist has referred him to a thoracic oncologist at Emory, where he will undergo additional scans of the brain and spine. These evaluations may lead to a revised treatment plan and possibly participation in a clinical study.

His new physician at Emory has already begun reviewing prior MRI scans and is scheduled to meet with Bobby on June 3. There was encouraging news following John’s recent visit with his New York oncologist, who shared that the majority of his pancreatic and liver disease is now under control. The MRI showed that the spot on his L3 vertebra has increased only slightly and has not extended into the spinal cord. A one-time radiation treatment is planned for that area, which has been about 90 percent effective. She sees no reason for him to not remain in the pancreatic cancer trial.

This past Friday, John underwent an outpatient procedure at Emory in Atlanta to drain fluid from his abdomen, bringing relief from recent discomfort. Thankfully, the procedure went well and allows for a quick recovery. John, Alicia and their family are so thankful to our Heavenly Father in so many ways! Pray for John’s renewing strength, relief from pain, and for peace and comfort that only God can provide.

Bobby McVey: After recovering well from lung cancer, two cancer spots were later discovered on Bobby’s back (vertebrae). This led to back surgery several months ago to stabilize a weakened vertebra affected by one of the spots.

Since recovering from surgery and completing five recent radiation treatments to eliminate any remaining cancer cells, Bobby is experiencing significantly less back pain. His pain has decreased enough that he is now off pain medication, sleeping well at night, and able to do his own physical therapy. Bobby’s next scan is scheduled for May 12. Please pray for a clean scan and complete healing.

When we asked, “What should we pray for?” his response was, “Praise God!” Bobby’s heart is overflowing with praise and thankfulness!

Wanda Quattlebaum: On March 10th, Wanda fell and fractured her femur just above the knee. After extensive surgery on the 11th and 12th, she was released to a rehab facility.

Her husband, Ray, shared that the past few days have been very busy. After meeting with the surgeon, they hoped Wanda’s stay at the rehab facility could be extended, but the appeal was denied, so she returned home Thursday. Thankfully, getting her settled went smoothly with help from others, and they are now adjusting to life at home and navigating daily routines with a wheelchair. Wanda will need continued therapy, and they are in the process of arranging both physical and occupational therapy. Ray and Wanda are deeply grateful for the kindness, support, and prayers they have received as Wanda continues her recovery.

Please pray for Wanda’s continued healing and for Ray. Pray that the insurance company will be accommodating throughout Wanda’s recovery. May the Lord grant them strength and perseverance.

Grace Brown: Grace continues undergoing immunotherapy for lung cancer through daily medication and periodic infusions. Tom recently shared that last week’s scans showed all tumors are continuing to shrink and that the inflammation is steadily decreasing—praise God for this encouraging progress! In addition, the infusions have now received FDA approval to be administered as a once-a-month injection. If approved by insurance, this could significantly reduce the frequency of their visits. As her ability to drive and get out independently continues to improve, please pray for complete healing and fully restored mobility.

Wanda Quattlebaum: Several weeks ago, Wanda fell and fractured her femur just above the knee. After extensive surgery, she is now in rehabilitation. Here is husband Ray’s update:

“Wanda is steadily progressing, but it’s been slow. She’s still dealing with a lot of pain, which is making things more challenging. She has been able to do a little walking during physical therapy with a walker—not much yet, but it’s a start. She’s getting pretty comfortable using the wheelchair, but the goal now is to transition her more into the walker so she can build strength and eventually work on steps to come home.

We’re not sure what insurance will decide next, so I may need to keep advocating for more time. For now, we’re just taking it one day at a time. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. We truly appreciate all the love and support—it means more than you know.”

Please pray for Wanda’s continued healing and for Ray. Pray that the insurance company will be accommodating throughout Wanda’s recovery. May the Lord grant them strength and perseverance.

Grace Brown: Grace is undergoing immunotherapy for lung cancer through daily medication and periodic infusions. She has recently begun attending physical therapy twice a week and is enjoying the challenge of the workouts. Joyce says that they continue to hang in there. We pray for strength for Joyce and that she can hold up physically as caregiver.
